For two years we've ministered to children from 3 to 15 at our Art Camps. We've shared, laughed, cried, and made lots and lots of new friends, and lots and lots of very creative projects and art pieces. We've had such a blast that we're getting ready for Statesville to catch Art Camp fever all over again.
The camp is Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 12 noon and includes a daily snack and an art show on the last day when the kids’ families can meet their teachers and enjoy their child’s artwork.
Instruction is provided by a local art teacher. Preregisteration will open February, 2012.
ART CAMP 2010
We had a great first year at Art Camp at New Amity!
Kids participated in two camps - a preschool group and an elementary camp - and created a wide assortment of crafts and artwork. Kids learned about perspectives, creating patterns, using different materials and artistic media, they sculpted with clay, painted with brushes, and drew with pencils and crayons. They made new friends, and took home a bag filled with both their artwork, and an assortment of art tools (aprons, crayons, pencils).
